Henry game winner vaults New York top

Thierry Henry scored his seventh Major League Soccer goal of the season to help the New York Red Bulls beat the New England Revolution 2-1 Friday to end a six-game winless streak.

Thierry gathered defender Stephen Keel's long cross in the 50th minute and dribbled around defender Ryan Cochrane into the box before firing a low shot into the right of the net and give the Red Bulls a 2-0 lead.

New York benefited from an own goal earlier in the 37th minute when Cochrane tried to block Henry's crossing pass to Austin Da Luz, but tipped it into the middle of the goal past keeper Matt Reis.

Zak Boggs scored in the 55th minute for the Revolution, who have lost four straight games.
