Butler's Khyle Marshall invited to national camp

Butler forward Khyle Marshall is among the five additional players who have been invited to this year's under-19 USA Basketball training camp.

Marshall will be the third Bulldogs player to try out for the team since 2009. NBA player Gordon Hayward and NBA hopeful Shelvin Mack made it two years ago.

Twenty-one players will compete to make the 12-member team that will represent the U.S. at this year's under-19 world championships in Latvia. The championships run from June 30 to July 10.

Butler coach Brad Stevens also will be an assistant for the U.S. men's team that will compete at the World University Games in China.

Tryouts for the under-19 team will run from June 17-19, with practice continuing through June 23 following the cutdown.
