?I got it? is a common phrase used to call off a teammate from making a catch on the diamond, but when the person calling it isn?t a teammate, it can become a little bewildering.
In the bottom of the seventh inning of Friday night?s game between Kansas City and Toronto, Blue Jays outfielder Rajai Davis was tracking down a foul ball. Little did he know there was a Royals ball boy alongside him waiting for the same baseball. Davis, who has been known to make remarkable run-down catches, nearly collided with the ball boy down the right-field line.
The ball boy received a few cheers from the Kauffman Stadium crowd as neither of the chasers caught the ball. Check out the ball boy interfering with Davis in the video below.
