Is Kirk Ferentz on the hot seat?

The Iowa Football program has under performed ? to say the least ? over the last three seasons. Ferentz combined for a 19-19 record over the past three years at the University of Iowa, which isn?t too impressive for one of the highest paid coaches in the country. Ferentz signed a contract extension after his team won the Orange Bowl in 2009, worth $3.675 million per season through 2020, with a $325,000 increase each year he stays with the program. Iowa Football?s head coach is one of the highest paid coaches in the NCAA with that contract, but does he deserve it? No. Are Iowa fans becoming impatient with our high salaried coaches lack of success? You bet.
Not only have Ferentz?s teams not been winning, but his players are getting themselves into legal troubles year after year. The Hawkeye football program has looked like the Cinncinati Bengals of college football from time to time.
