Top RB commits to Michigan

Derrick Green (Photo credit: Richmond Times-Dispatch) Michigan Football recruiting received a big boost on Saturday when 5-star running back Derrick Green (Richmond, Virginia) announced his commitment to the University of Michigan. Green is generally considered the top running back in the nation and one of the elite recruits in the 2013 class. He is a 6-foot, 220 pound wrecking ball of a runner who will thrive in the Big Ten. The�Colonial District Offensive Player of the Year, Green rushed for 1,285 yards and 20 touchdowns. He seldom played in the second half of games because his Hermitage team was so dominant and often had commanding leads early in the games. Green choose Michigan over Auburn and Tennessee.
