Brent Grimes Deserves Pro Bowl Nod Without Scorn From Falcons' Fans

What do the Atlanta Falcons really think about their cornerbacks, Dunta Robinson and Brent Grimes?

The Falcons were 13-3 in the regular season with steady play from Grimes and Robinson, but when Aaron Rodgers shredded Atlanta in a playoff game for 366 yards it opened a debate.

Robinson, who came to Atlanta as a free agent in 2010, has one interception in two seasons. Grimes had five interceptions, but opponents obviously felt they could go after him targeting Grimes 119 times, which was an NFL high.

Grimes was just named to the Pro Bowl to replace Green Bay's Charles Woodson, who has more important things to prepare for than the inconsequential, waste-of-time Pro Bowl. With the Buccaneers' Aqib Talib injured, Grimes should be in the Pro Bowl as a replacement.

If you look at the statistics, Grimes had a good season defending a franchise-high 23 passes and coming up with the team-leading five interceptions.
