After his redshirt season because of the transfer, Duke fans are giddy about Hood and top prospect Jabari Parker to pick up the reins and give the team a new look.

Duke forward Rodney Hood is said to have recovered from�an Achilles injury that forced him to leave USA Basketball�training in June,�ESPN.com reported�Tuesday morning.
The injury happened at tryouts for July?s World University Games. Early reports suggested Hood had torn his right Achilles tendon, but�subsequent testing by Duke medical staff showed the tendon was not torn, but strained. The�Durham Herald-Sun�reported the redshirt sophomore would miss 4 to 6 weeks with the injury.
Duke associate coach Steve Wojciechowski said, ?He is completely recovered,? per Andy Katz?s report. ?He has participated in summer workouts.?
The 6-foot-8 Hood played one year at Mississippi
