Toronto Maple Leafs Sign Draft Pick Greg McKegg
Toronto Maple Leafs General Manager Brian Bruke has signed his original draft pick from the 2010 NHL Draft, Greg Mckegg who is now on a three year entry deal. �McKegg is 6? 190 lbs forward and was draft in the 3rd round, 62nd overall last season; he will start his AHL career with the Toronto Marlies today, but play his first AHL game on Saturday. McKegg has had an impressive OHL career so far; in his rookie season he only had 18 points. But in his sophomore season McKegg jumped up to scoring 37 goals, 48 assist for 85 points. This season McKegg was named Captain of the Erie Otters and has improved on his performance by scoring 49 goals and 43 assist for 92 points. His goal total was good for 2nd in the OHL and his point total was good for 8th overall in the scoring race. I recommend that all Leaf fans should follow McKegg amateur career closely, as I do believe we have a diamond in the rough and players like Nazem Kadri and Joe Colborne will over shadow McKegg, even though he can be...
