Rangers, Cubs talking Garza trade?

The Texas Rangers and Chicago Cubs are deep into talks for one of the top players on the trade market this summer. The way things look right now, the Rangers could land Matt Garza some time this weekend. The Rangers actually tried to land Garza last summer, but an elbow injury ended his season prematurely. Now Texas is back at it, trying to land the man many people think is the best starting pitcher currently available via trade. The Cubs and Rangers have reportedly had extensive talks, but the Los Angeles Dodgers are also motivated buyers and would love to land Garza. The Boston Red Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, St. Louis Cardinals and Cleveland Indians have also expressed interest. The 29-year-old Garza would give the Rangers another outstanding option their rotation. The team currently has five starting pitchers on the disabled list, as Matt Harrison, Yu Darvish, Alexi Ogando, Nick Tepesch and Colby Lewis are all sidelined.
