News: TNA Stars Become Champions in Ohio Valley Wrestling

On this past episode of Ohio Valley Wrestling TV, episode 682, two TNA stars became champions in TNA's developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling.

The inaugural Gut Check winner, Alex Silva, defeated former WWE Tough Enough contestant Ryan Howe in order to become the new OVW Television Champion. This would kick off Silva's third reign as OVW TV Champion.

Crimson, who made his OVW debut about one month ago, also became the new OVW Heavyweight Champion in this very episode.

With help of Shiloh Jonze and Raul LaMotta, the Wild Cards; Crimson beat the top face in OVW, Johnny Spade, to become the new OVW Champion.

As of this writing, the scheduled main event for OVW's October Saturday Night Special (their equivalent to a pay-per-view) is Rob Terry vs. Crimson for the OVW Heavyweight Championship.

You can watch Crimson and Alex Silva's championship wins here on OVW 682. The Television Championship match is, roughly, at the 29:50 mark and the OVW Heavyweight Championship match begins at the 45:28 mark.

It's also worthy to note that first ever female Gut Check winner Taeler Hendrix is the current reigning OVW Women's Champion and has been for nearly 70 days now.

In other news, Sam Shaw, fellow Gut Check winner, has officially arrived in OVW. Shaw made his debut picking up a victory in a dark match following the tapings of this episode.

If you're not watching OVW already, I highly recommend doing so.
