IndyCar: Are Will Power?s oval woes in the past?

The season title is on the line and like every other year it will be decided on an oval. Ovals are to Will Power what kryptonite is to Superman.
For some reason, Power has never really grasped oval racing. He's tremendous on road/street venues, but ovals are consistently a struggle for Power. That's why he's struggled to close out championships the last two seasons with the schedule being oval-heavy toward the end of the year.
This year, Power was thrilled to see only five oval events on the schedule and none from the June race in Iowa until this weekend's race in Fontana. He was hoping he could get a big enough advantage in the points by that point that he could cruise to the title.
Unfortunately for Power, Ryan Hunter-Reay has done just enough on the road/street venues to stay at bay and win half of the ovals the series has ran in so far. That has Hunter-Reay within 17 points of the championship as it's do or die time Saturday night.
