Marlins being aggressive in shopping Ricky Nolasco
credit: getty images The Miami Marlins are looking to trade away players as the baseball season moves to the halfway point. One player the Marlins are looking to trade away is starting pitcher Ricky Nolasco. Curiously the Marlins opted to keep Nolasco, 30, around over the winter while the organization sent numerous players to Toronto and other destinations. Currently making$11.5 million the Marlins are ?being very aggressive? according to the New York Daily News. Nolasco currently sports a 3.68 ERA and 1.20 WHIP after 100 1/3 innings of work. Two teams who figure to have interest in the right hander are the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees but how much they will pay for a pitcher set to be a free agent at seasons end is unknown. At 25-50 on the season the Marlins have the worst record in baseball.
