Rangers' Feldman rejects minor-league assignment
The Texas Rangers are set to activate Scott Feldman from the 15-day disabled list Thursday after the veteran pitcher refused a minor-league assignment.Feldman cleared waivers Wednesday, but chose to reject an assignment to Triple-A. Texas chose to activate him rather than cut him loose and pay the $9 million remaining on his contract.Feldman is expected to report to the bullpen. He hasn't pitched in the majors all season, making 10 minor-league starts before suffering a knee injury. The 28-year-old made 29 appearances (22 starts) for the Rangers last season, going 7-11 with a 5.48 ERA.
