It Doesn?t Pay To Be Warren Sapp These Days

Warren Sapp’s broadcasting career may be an indirect casualty stemming from the New Orleans Saints bounty debacle.
Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe reports NFL Network plans to dismiss Sapp after the former Tampa Bay Buc accused ex-Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey of being a snitch and tipping off the league regarding the New Orleans bounty program.
Bedard’s report follows news of Sapp filing for bankruptcy and losing his Super Bowl XXXVII ring, earned while a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Much like Sapp, Shockey is not exactly known for being shy. Soon after Sapp’s ill-fated statement, Shockey wanted the NFL to punish Sapp.
It looks like he’ll win that battle.
