A few Week 9 injuries have made the waiver wire a little more interesting this week.
Cowboys? wide receiver Miles Austin is expected to miss two-to-four weeks with another hamstring injury. That opens the door for Laurent Robinson, who scored a touchdown in Austin?s stead on Sunday. Peyton Hillis and Montario Hardesty are expected to miss another week of action, which means Chris Ogbonnaya and Thomas Clayton are going to get more carries again next week. Still, those two are only relevant ? and just barely ? in the deepest of leagues (16+).
If, however, you are looking for something not-as-immediate off the waiver wire, consider some of these sneaky adds which could pay off further down the road:
Danny Woodhead, RB, Patriots: At this point in the fantasy season, owners need guys who could be really useful in a pinch. It looks like Woodhead is getting healthy again and should resume his role in the rotation of backs utilized by the Patriots. Good pick-up for PPR leagues, especially.
Leonard Hankerson, WR, Redskins: With Santana Moss out and the Redskins faltering, Hankerson is going to get more and more playing time. Decent stat line (four catches, 34 yards) in his first significant showing of the season.
Jacquizz Rodgers, RB, Falcons: Jason Snelling may be the backup to Michael Turner, but Rodgers it the change-up. If something were to happen to Turner it would be Snelling filling the bulk of his void. But Rodgers? role in the offense is going to remain constant and he could see more work going forward even with a healthy Turner.
C.J. Spiller, RB, Bills: Fred Jackson is no spring chicken and Spiller is no wide receiver. The Bills tried him on the perimeter but it is going to take a few seasons to make that transition, not a few weeks. Good insurance for Jackson owners.

Welcome back from the fantasy football dead, Marshawn Lynch. Beast Mode showed up in a big way against the Cowboys on Sunday, mostly in the second half. Going forward, Lynch still is the best fantasy football option in Seattle right now and could be used as a RB2 most weeks. I have a feeling a number of fantasy owners had this week?s production on the bench, though. [Roto Arcade]
Philip Rivers accounted for six touchdowns on Sunday. If they were all for his team, Rivers? fantasy owners would be ecstatic. As it is, though, Rivers? owners cannot be too upset after a four-touchdown performance ? despite all the turnovers. [National Football Post]
More waiver wire advice for Week 10. Fantasy owners should try to grab Jacoby Ford in most leagues this week. Ford was dominant against the Broncos and appears to have Carson Palmer?s attention. He is the best receiver on that team and has significant run-after-catch ability. Had a degree-of-difficulty touchdown grab against the Broncos, too. [Roto Professor]
