Arkansas recruit reportedly had letter of intent stolen by mother
Thanks to the mother of five-star running back recruit Alex Collins, we may already have a winner for the craziest story of national signing day. Collins, who played his high school ball in Florida, verbally committed to Arkansas back in February. When he went to fax his letter of intent on Wednesday morning, it was nowhere to be found. That?s because his mother reportedly took his papers and ran away with them. Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema spoke with ESPNU on Wednesday (via Dr. Saturday) and it was odd that he didn?t mention Collins, only saying that he had not received his letter of intent. The news was bizarre considering Collins is one of Arkansas? top recruits for 2013, and ESPNU?s Corey Long later revealed that Collins? mother had stolen his papers because she is so upset that he will not be attending school closer to home. ?His mother has confiscated the papers, she took them and she ran,?
