Ohio State Wins Season Opener, Defeats Albany 82-60
After having the Carrier Classic cancelled on Friday, the Ohio State Men?s Basketball team opened its season on Sunday afternoon with an 82-60 win over Albany in Columbus. Late in the first half, Ohio State trailed 23-22 before going on a 17-2 run capped by a buzzer beating 3-pointer by Lenzelle Smith Jr. to give the Buckeyes a 39-25 halftime lead. �Deshaun Thomas scored 13 of his 19 total points during the run. Aaron Craft added a career-high 20 points for the Buckeyes while teammate LaQuinton Ross finished with 10. Smith finished with 18 points for the Bucks. Ohio State will now prepare to travel to Uncasville, Connecticut to continue their play in the Basketball Hall Of Fame Tip-Off Tournament this weekend. They will face Rhode Island and either Seton Hall or Washington.
