Brandon Phillips is well known for making amazing plays at second base for the Cincinnati Reds. The eleven year veteran added to his web gem portfolio on Sunday with an amazing between the leg flip to start a double play.
Phillips raced down a shot up the middle by Ike Davis and then tossed the ball between his legs to shortstop Zack Cozart, who then completed the twin-killer with a strike to first baseman Joey Votto.
At first the play appeared to be a standard double play turn as Phillips made the play so effortlessly. However, closer examination of the play revealed that Phillips started the turn with a smooth toss between his legs.
