Oakland Raiders WR Darrius Heyward Bey Charged with Drunk Driving

Oakland Raiders wide receiver Darrius Heyward Bey was charged with drunk driving this afternoon.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported that he was charged today after failing a field sobriety test at 2 a.m. on April 7th after speeding and weaving in and out of lanes. He is scheduled to appear in court May 31.

After two disappointing seasons for the Raiders, Heyward Bey came on strong last season making 64 receptions for 975 yards and four touchdowns. He was drafted seventh overall in the 2009 NFL Draft.
Heyward Bey and the Raiders will now wait and see what happens during the legal process and see if there will be any punishment from the NFL. It appears to be Heyward Bey's first legal issue while in the league.
