The Chicago Cubs have invited 21 non-roster players to major league spring training, which begins Sunday, February 13 when pitchers and catchers are invited to report in Mesa , Ariz. Their first workout will take place on Monday, February 14. Position players report to camp Friday, February 18 with the team?s first full workout Saturday, February 19.
Today, the Cubs announced they have agreed to terms with right-handed pitcher Braden Looper and infielder Augie Ojeda on minor league contracts with invites to major league spring training.
