A Boo-tiful change leads to a great Hope start for Weekley
Earlier this month, Golf Pride sent me a putter grip that was camouflage. While it seems like a no-brainer when you visit places like my hometown in East Texas, you can't look past Boo Weekley as the person that inspired such an idea. This look is his motivation.But the past two seasons, it hasn't been. Weekley noted a week ago to the Pensacola News Journal that he hasn't felt like himself as he has struggled the past two seasons, and was ready to get back to the Boo that rode the golf club during the Ryder Cup, scolded himself on the course and, more importantly, had fun playing golf.It seems after the first round at the Bob Hope that it didn't take him long. Switching putters before the opening leg of the five day tournament, Weekley shot a seven-under 65 leaving him two shots behind Derek Lamely and in a perfect position to put those changes to work.
