UNLV billboard has a big mistake on it
This billboard featuring the images of Bobby Hauck and Lon Kruger popped up in the Las Vegas area, urging people to buy tickets for the upcoming UNLV football and basketball seasons. A great marketing plan no doubt, except for one thing?Lon Kruger hasn?t coached at UNLV for well over two years now? Current head basketball coach Dave Rice, noticeably absent from the billboard, took the billboard gaffe in stride, while others at the school did not. From the Las Vegas Review-Journal? ?I thought it was humorous,? the third-year coach said. ?It?s one of those things that happens. But I?m the last person who would take himself too seriously. ?Hey, if Coach Kruger can help us sell tickets, great.? UNLV?s interim athletic director, Tina Kunzer-Murphy, was slightly less amused at the billboard?s egregious error? ?To us, it?s not a laughing matter,? she said. ?We think what happened was the billboard company was doing us a favor by posting the ad but our marketing people never saw
Boston Red Sox CF Jacoby Ellsbury out with foot fracture
With the Boston Red Sox playing extremely well during the month of September and riding high with a seven and a half game American League East lead, the team may have to be without leadoff hitter and centerfield Jacoby Ellsbury for the next few weeks due to a non-displacement compression fracture of right foot. Ellsbury originally injured his foot after fouling a ball a few weeks ago and reinjured that same foot in the series against the New York Yankees this past week. The Red Sox announced they expect Ellsbury to return before the end of the regular season but that is still remains to be seen. He will in a walking boot for the next five days. Until he returns, Shane Victorino has taken over center field and leadoff duties. Jackie Bradley Jr. could also get some playing time when Boston faces right handed pitching with Victorino shifting back to right field. Overall this season, Ellsbury has hit .299 8 HRs 52 RBIs in 131 games and leads in the major leagues with 52 stolen bases.

Peruvian football fans throw soiled diapers at opposing goalkeeper (Video)
Fans of the Peruvian soccer team Real Garcilaso may have hit a new low during a recent match when they attacked the opposing Allianz Lima goalkeeper by throwing soiled diapers at him.
Not sure who was responsible or how the dirty diapers were so readily available, but the referee bravely used his bare hands to help remove them from the field. Now that's nasty.
