Taking over the head-coaching job at West Virginia a year early, Dana Holgorsen is ready to lead the Big East favorites.

The situation is this. Holgorsen, who was signed to be the coach in waiting under Bill Stewart, assumes control one year earlier than initially expected following an off-season in which Stewart tried plotting negative stories about his forced successor in the media. In the end, Holgorsen is handed the football program by the university, who forced the misbehaving Stewart out the door.
Looking to move on from just a portion of what has been a poison stricken off-season in college football, Holgorsen feels good about his chances to do something special right off the bat.
