Jarome Iginla signs with Bruins

It took him a while to come around, but Jarome Iginla has finally agreed to become a Boston Bruin. Just months after shunning the Bruins in favor of the Pittsburgh Penguins around the NHL trade deadline, the 36-year old Iginla has agreed to a one-year deal to join Boston. Iginla?s contract includes a salary of $1.8 million, a games played bonus of $3.7 million and a goal-scoring/team playoff performance bonus of $500,000 for a total of $6 million, according to the source. The signing is GM Peter Chiarelli?s first big splash in free agency this offseason and will likely help the Bruins restore some offensive presence after losing forwards Nathan Horton (free agency), Tyler Seguin and Rich Peverley (trade).
